New Triassic teleosts (Actinopterygii, Teleosteomorpha) from northern Italy and their phylogenetic relationships among the most basal teleosts

Named Triassic teleosteomorph specimens from northern Italy are described and placed in a basal-teleost character matrix. These local specimens and topology provide a sampled minimum only, not Teleosteomorpha's exact global FAD or direct ancestors.

Named northern Italian teleosteomorph fossils support a 247–241.464 Ma study-sample window; the specimens do not define the global origin, survival or ancestry of Teleosteomorpha.
