Maghriboselache mohamezanei is a new symmoriiform chondrichthyan represented by several partly articulated skeletons, including three-dimensional cranial specimens AA.MEM.DS.12 and PIMUZ A/I 5159; the cited matrix places it with Cladoselache in an early symmoriiform grouping, while alternative analyses can recover symmoriiforms differently.

Maghriboselache preserves a marine depositional context, digestive-tract and liver traces, a high-aspect-ratio tail and large pectoral fins; PIMUZ A/I 5155 contains a more or less articulated small actinopterygian stomach content approximately 40 mm long, recording one feeding event, while broader diet, habitat preference, locomotor performance and trophic guild remain unresolved.
